Overview

Position is 2nd Shift.

The Company Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking an Experienced Liaison Engineer located in St. Louis, MO. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing Liaison Engineering support for 777X Commercial Aircraft Production in the St Louis factory. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively, act decisively and demonstrate resourcefulness and innovation.

Position Responsibilities Include:
• Apply knowledge of Company design principles to assess and resolve product/process issues through the product lifecycle
• Identify documents, analyze reported problems and communicates deviations that could impact design intent and safety; recommends and manages resolution
• Develop and implement product/process improvements
• Support Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and participate in design reviews
• Represent the engineering community in the build through post production environment
• Design structural repairs and conducts basic static strength analysis
12+ months — possible extension and possible FTE opportunity.
Requirements

What you'll need

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
· Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
· Current or previous Material Review Board (MRB) experience/certification. Prior commercial MRB experience is preferred though not required
· Familiarity with metallic and composite structure repair processes.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
· Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate of science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering.
· Familiarity with applying basic static strength analysis
· Material Review Board Certification strongly preferred

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Education / experience: Typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and 3+ years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination.
