Position Description

**Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance. US Citizenship Required.**

Electrical Component Engineering Standards and Processes:

Applies engineering knowledge of electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical components in evaluation of components for assembly and subassembly repair/design
Directly supports Sub-contractors and Suppliers to ensure their electronic components are qualified for company usage per the contract and the Parts Management Plan
Significant experience with a harsh environment/high reliability design environment, including previous aerospace, medical device, automotive, or industrial design/application experience.

Experience with connectors, wires, and cables, including the fabrication of cables/bundles, installation of cables/harnesses, etc.

Requirements

Must Have:
Electrical design and/or Test experience with electrical components, wiring harnesses, connectors and cables.
Specific experience in any military aerospace discipline, either as a defense contractor or as former military, especially in the area of Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems (EWIS)
Specific experience with military electronics. Not necessarily aerospace, as long as its directly related to one of our electrical disciplines (i.e. components, wire/cables, processes, etc.)
Specific and extensive experience with the electrical mil specs and aerospace industry specs that are relevant to our day to day.
Deep experience/insight with wiring design, cables, connectors, etc. Someone who worked in a position where this was a key element of their primary responsibilities for 5+ years.
Understanding of Aircraft and Weapons design/requirements to recommend the correct Alternate electrical components for new product development and legacy programs

Nice to Have:
Uses Project Management tools to meet cost, schedule, and technical performance requirements
Incorporates Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), LEAN and Quality principles into (1) materials and processes, (2) research and qualification, (3) work procedures and (4) lab testing and qualification
Supports, establishes work statements, defines strategies, and/or provides consultation with peers while keeping management informed
Significant experience with military and/or industry specifications.

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience(e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
