Position Description

Company is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, experienced Test and Material Order Planning Specialist to join our Sustainable Flight Demonstrator X-66 project team in Berkeley, MO. This position will work with Business Leaders, Engineers, Planners and others and be responsible for planning and coordinating testing activities, scheduling the use of test assets, and tracking the procurements of parts and equipment from order entry to receipt of materials. As an integral part of our organization, the person filling this role will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth execution and on time performance of our program.

- Coordinates with others to plan product testing, manage the scheduling and allocation of test assets, such as equipment, facilities, and personnel. Track utilization of test assets & equipment, estimate test support requirements and ensure availability of test equipment, materials, fixtures and vehicles. Monitors test progress and test configuration/instrumentation. Gathers data as requested in support of long-range planning and forecasting. Works under general direction.

- Collaborates with Engineers & Supplier Management to plan part & equipment procurements, enter orders, ensure orders are approved, routed on time to Procurement Agents and orders placed to suppliers; Monitor the entire procurement process, from order entry to receipt of parts, ensuring timely delivery. Maintain accurate records of orders, invoices, and receipts.

- Maintain an organized inventory of test assets, parts, and equipment.
Conduct regular audits to ensure inventory accuracy and identify any discrepancies. Collaborate with relevant teams to forecast future inventory needs and plan accordingly.

- Prepare and maintain documentation related to test planning, asset scheduling, and procurement activities. Generate reports on test progress, asset utilization, and procurement status. Communicate updates and findings to stakeholders, highlighting any potential risks or delays

Requirements

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
Experience with electrical hardware testing, circuit cards and software testing
Experience with procurement / parts ordering
Experience tracking part orders
Experience with inventory management
Experience with test report management
Ability to follow detailed processes while also completing unstructured assignments
Strong communication skills
Experience with MS Project & Excel
Self-directed

Preferred qualifications:
BS Engineering
Prior Aerospace Experience
Prior Procurement Agent / Purchasing Experience
Prior Test Engineering Experience

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).
